Purpose of this policy

This policy sets out the circumstance that a student is entitled to a refund and the procedure a student must follow to withdraw from a course to get a refund for signing up for our classes, and for cancelling classes.

Refund Policy

Course Fees must be paid before the start of the first class, otherwise an administration fee of $10 will be charged.

Refunds 

1. The class fees for both group and private classes are not refundable, transferable or shareable between parties.

2. Except in cases of bankruptcy, or student visa refusal, refunds will only be made in the following circumstances:

A) Where you cancel BEFORE the class Start Date 
Subject to C) below. If written notice is received not less than 14 days prior to the Course Start Date the academy will, within 28 working days, refund the Course Fees less the court booking service and court fees, see below . No refund of fees will be given where notice is received less than 14 days prior to the Course Start Date including where the Course Start Date has passed.

B) Where you withdraw from the Course AFTER the next Class Start Date 
Subject to C) below. No refund of fees will be given once the the next class date has passed. 

C) Our academy’s 30-day guarantee

Applicable for new students ONLY, and not current students renewing their classes. In order to be eligible for a refund, you have to request for refund within 30 calendar days of your purchase, and show substantial evidence that you have not improved from taking up our lessons.

After we receive your request, our team of professionals will inspect it and process your refund. The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement. 

If you have improved in any way, or you have initiated the return after 30 calendar days have passed, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Cancellation Policy

Subject to A) and B). No class fees (coaching fees) will be charged for cancellation requested in advance. We only ask for your help to cover some unavoidable costs that have already been incurred in the process of arranging the class.

A) Court fees and services has been incurred. In the event that the court has been booked, students will be charged the court booking fees and service (Price depends on the venue).  We go to substantial effort to make bookings, so we seek your kind understanding on this matter.

Note: If your class is 1.5hrs, the court booking performed is still 2hrs, as courts can only be booked by the hour.

All private venues – If court fees are above $10 per hour, it will incur additional court fees on top of our applicable fees.

B) Cancellations at short notice will be chargeable at full rates. 24-hour BEFORE the Class Start. This is to be fair to our coaches who have already committed their time and effort to plan the lesson, and are also unable to find alternative classes at such short notice. Thank you for your kind consideration for our coaches. The full class fees will be charged for the cancellation or rescheduling of classes within 24-hours of the class start time.

Release from Liability

By attending classes with BG, Badminton Academy you shall assume any and/or all risks from participating in the training sessions. BG Badminton Academy will not be held responsible for any injuries and damages to you and your equipment, and for other unforeseen circumstances that may occur during the training sessions. Our coaches will give their best effort to minimize the chances of injury.
